Music
How I long to listen to some nice 1960s music. It was my husband's favorite decade for music. He even had his own band. I love the 60s too. Always have, listening to music from that period most of my life. It's my favorite music, but now, whenever I listen I become sad, thinking of how my husband is not here.
So, for the last 8 months it's been newsradio, but I'm determined to reclaim my decade. So I started with Duffy, who's actually a contemporary singer with a 60s sound. She's got a new album out and it's good. I listened for nearly an hour, enjoying the songs, and then I decided to listen to her last album, the one I listened to last year. No go. I immediately started thinking about my husband, expecting him to come through the door.
Oh, well, there's always tomorrow.

My husband\'s was the 70s. I like it too, but got so sick of it because that\'s ALL he ever wanted to listen to. I am more of a jump around the dials type gal. I like it all and get bored if I stay too long in one genre. I understand totally about it making you sad. I avoid 70s music now because it reminds me too much.

I also avoid listening to the music my husband loved. Brings many tears. Hugs to you
I love the music from the 60s. Take it one day at time. Eventually you will be able to listen to the music from the 60s without crying. Give yourself a break and don\'t be so hard on yourself. From Diane B.
