Mt Vernon
Last Sat I went to a Memorial luncheon for a meet up member who passed away early 2020 (from Pancreatic cancer) she was SUCH a nice lady and her sisters put this on in her honor. Kathy, the lady who passed, loved Mt Vernon it was one of her fave places. I'd never eaten in the restaurant. I had Chicken Florentine and flourless choc cake for dessert (they started us out on cheese/fruit pruchutto ham platter and salad then the main course and dessert. The weather was gorgeous and they gave us tickets to tour the mansion and grounds. I've been in the mansion many times and the friend I was with couldn't stay too long after the lunch so we just toured the grounds. the Mansion is having some reno done on the outside so there is scaffolding on the back of the house. my pics got out of order so excuse them, I dont' want to scrap them and redo it

Hi Linda, this is a very special, and heart-felt, tribute in loving memory of your friend, group member, Kathy, who passed away. i know she was with you all in spirit, as you all visited this special place, Mt. Vernon, in loving memory of her :) it's very special, what you all did for her, in memory of her to honor her, with her sisters helping put together this wonderful tribute, visiting her favorite place <3 it's very heart warming ,you all have many special memories of visiting this destination with Kathy, and will always think often her, especially during travels, with the meet up group :)
