Moving along the path

I have finally gotten to speak with the specialist who can send me to see the gender specialist. It's all more hoop-jumping, but I am at least a bit closer. During the discussion, the shrink actually called me Joe, and Mr.; which really made me feel good. She's going to see if the VA will foot the bill for both the gender specialist and the DNA testing - to see if I have any chromosonal problems like being XXY, or XYX.
The open wound from the surgery I had in August STILL has NOT healed. It's been stalled for weeks now. I finally convinced the surgeon to go ahead with the skin graft - I'll know within two weeks if it's going to work.

I have a truck now - my car was totaled in a wreck in January. The truck's great - especially since I'm moving to the city where the VA hospital is. Found a house to rent - and they're interested in selling it to me on a rent-to-own basis. Still getting the gas and water turned on - the deposits for all these utilities really ad up! There is a shop nearby where I can sell my pottery creations, and I can get work at the VA hospital, too.
I'm looking forward to the move - a real house, instead of a mobile home in a trailer park. Money's going to be extremely tight, but it's a step up. Plus, the house is really nice - hardwood floors, just the right size, and it has a yard with room for a garden and the workshop I need. Quiet neighborhood, good location - I can walk to shopping within three blocks.
I know I haven't been taking T - and since the total hysterectomy, I'm not supposed to be making any T of my own - but lately I've been having sexual dreams where I'm a man making out with a woman. Now, I've always been a male in my dreams; but the sexual nature of these dreams is frankly new to me. I'm not bothered by it - I think it's just a sign from my body that it's beginning to shift into masculine puberty mode as the remaining female hormone levels in my body continue to drop. Even my mother has commented on my voice becoming a bit deeper. In addition, I entered the lady's rest room a few days ago - on the local community college's campus - and some of the ladies reacted to me as they would to a man walking into the lady's room. It was awkward; I hadn't expected that reaction this early on; and I was even clean-shaven at the time. Looks like it's time to start packing my new STP and man-up to using the men's room.
