moving along

I promised myself I would write in my journal frequently, so I am sticking to it!  Some days it's difficult - not much to say, really.  I am enjoying the peacefulness of being free of gambling at the same time missing it some . . . knowing all the bad . . . initially there WERE some good times.  Can't go back - - - lots of thoughts floating in my head today. I know I can't gamble like "normal people" so the trying to do that is OVER.   All the $$ I wish I had in my pocket now. . . can't redo that either.  Anyway, I am lots calmer and less hyper, no guilt, and overall things are good.  Just experiencing fully all the many feelings and thoughts that go into recovery from this.   Will just move along with it - - -hope everyone is well today and gfSmokeygirl

Hi Smokey, you can\'t go forward looking in the rear view mirror. Keep looking ahead and do this one day at a time. You can do it.

Sounds like a funeral to gambling. Miss it and sad? Well dear, not if you were me. I can only remember one time I really had fun and that was watching my dtr win and out of all the times, hundreds and more, that was the only good time. Glad it\'s dead and keep putting dirt over it and dance on it\'s grave cause you are doing just fine without it. lol and hugs. barb

Hang in there..... If it makes you feel any better --- I admit that I am missing it too! But deep down in my heart I know it\'s BAD, BAD for me. So like Barb said --- I\'ll do a little mourning and move on. You do the same... Have a wonderful day.
