Mothers Day - Never a Dull Moment

Well, this Mothers Day was a really "interesting" one. It started when my 7 year old pulled me out of bed, saying, "Mommy, look at this!" There was dried blood all around her mouth. I knew that one of her teeth was shaky, so the first thing I did was wash her face with warm water. Then, after much protests from her, I got her to rinse her mouth in warm salt water. It seemed to work. The tooth is still there, and still shaky. STUBBORN!
Not much time to rest before the baby was up and needing a bottle. Not only was her diaper soaked, but her clothes and sheets as well. That made two sets of sheets to wash before heading to church.
After church, my sister(and family), my brother and I(with my family) took our mom and dad to lunch. Baby slept in her carrier while we ate. What a relief that was.
I got a bit of rest this afternoon, but not too much. Oh, and by the way, I only got one gift for Mothers Day - a homemade card my daughter made in school. She was so excited when she gave it to me. I guess those are the things that make it all worthwhile.
Hugs to all the mothers out there.
