MOTHER\'S DAY

May 10, 2009:  This morning I woke up in a HUGE funk!  No gifts, no greetings, ect.  Scott was always so good about making sure he said Happy/Merry, whatever!  I miss him so much!  But, as the day went on, things got better.  Craig finally said, "Happy Mother's Day!"  Chris called and invited me out to dinner.  We went to Applebee's and then Target.  At Target he bought a flash drive for me!  I was totally surprised with that!  I have been wanting and needing one.  And, before I left to meet Chris, a friend of Scott's came down with a gift for me.  She gave me a single rose and four "stones" for my flower garden area.   Yesterday we went to another of Scott's friends, wedding.  It was beautiful!  The ceremony was awesome.  And, the reception was filled with good food, music, and drink.  It was nice!  A lot of Scott's friends were there so the photographer got them all together for me and took a group photo.  One with them alone and one with me in it.  I took a snap shot of just the kids....I will try to upload it.  It was so good to see them!  But, it made me so sad Scott wasn't there.  He should've been there, all dressed up and smiling! On Friday, the weather here was CRAZY!  Tornadoes and seventy mile an hour straight-line winds!  So many people had so much damage!  Trees uprooted, roofs torn off, out-buildings blown around, etc.  We had some damage here.  Our roof is messed up...the roof guy came to give us an estimate and patch certain spots.  My outdoor, metal chairs, were blown around.  We had several large limbs down. My TV antenna lost several pieces.  And, my hot tub no longer works. We were without power until eleven at night. At the cemetery, a huge tree limb barely missed Scott and his Grandma's headstones.  It did land on some of the other Grant stones.  And it hit another stone nearby.   So, although we had some damage, we are safe.  So many other people are still without power and did much worse than us. It has sure been an interesting weekend!

Thank God you are okay and no damage was done to Scott\'s and your Mom\'s stones. That would be just too painful! I\'m glad you enjoyed Scott\'s friends, and I am sure he was there in amongst them, happy that you were out with them! I know it was rough, it is for all of us, we know how much it hurts, and we are walking with you, Hon! Love, Judy
