MOTHER NATURE IS PLAYING GAMES TODAY

EVERYTHING AROUND HERE IS CERTAINLY GREEN AND GROWING. HOWEVER, WE ARE AT THE SATURATION POINT AND IF THE SUN REFUSES TO SHINE AND THE RAIN KEEPS UP WE WILL LOOSE THE PLANTS. ALL READY MY STRAWFLOWER PLANT IS SHOWING SIGNS OF ROOT ROT!! WE NEED SEVERAL, PREFERRABLY A WEEK, 7 DAYS OF SUN OR AT LEAST NO MORE RAIN!!! THE FLOWERS ARE NOT THE ONLY THING BEING AFFECTED BY THIS DISMAL WEATHER PATTERN...I AM GETTING ROOT ROT TOO. LOL!!! ON THE SERIOUS SIDE, IT IS AFFECTING ME IN A NEGATIVE WAY. TODAY WAS BETTER THAN THE WEEKEND AND I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT AND ABOUT. THE WEATHER WIZARD WAS PLAYING GAMES TODAY...SUNNY ONE MINUTE, THEN CLOUD THEN RAIN THEN SUN THEN CLOUD...ALL DAY LONG. SO IN THE SHORT PERIODS OF SUN I CLEANED THE CAR INSIDE AND OUT. BOY, DID IT NEED IT. ONE JOB CROSSED OFF MY LIST.HOPEFULLY, TONIGHT THE WEATHER WILL HOLD AND I CAN GO OUT AND PUT MORE ROCK SALT AROUND THE VEGGIE GARDEN AND REFRESH THE SLUG/SNAIL BAIT.MAYBE , EVEN GET A LITTLE WEEDING IN, NO, I THINK I AM ASKING FOR TOO MUCH!!I HAD A FIRST IN 53 YEARS ON FRIDAY...I BOUGHT MYSELF A SEWING MACHINE. NOW, GUYS, THIS MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A HUGE DEAL BUT I ABSOLUTELY DETEST SEWING!!! I TAKE ALL MY STUFF TO THE TAILORS. BUT I AM HELPING MY DAUGHTER MAKE THE HEAD WRAPS AND I REALLY NEEDED THE MACHINE. I CAN ALWAYS USE IT TO HEM DRAPES ETC. I JUST GOT A NICE LITTLEĀ  "BROTHER" MODEL NOTHING EXTRAVAGANT. DOES ABOUT 25 DIFFERENT STITCHES...WHICH MEANS NOTHING TO ME. HELL ALL I WANT IS FOR IT TO SEW A STRAIGHT LINE. AND IT COMES WITH A BUTTON HOLER AND A ZIPPER FOOT, YEAH, LIKE THEY WILL EVER GET USED. LOL!!ANYWAY, JUST THAT TIME OF DAY TO FED THE CRITTERS AND START SUPPER FOR MICHAEL AND I. SO I WILL CATCH YOU ALL LATER. BE WELL, BE HAPPY, LOOK FOR THE LITTLE JOYS OF LIFE. DEBBIE

Have you noticed that rain, which will rot your garden and your mind doesn\'t seem to bother the weeds one little bit?
I\'m glad you at least got a wee bit of sun today, there are times even that can feel like a life saver.
I know how you feel about sewing, although in my case I think it was because I had to sew so much when I was younger. A couple of years ago a dear friend bought me a nice sewing machine for Christmad and I used it to make some curtains for upstairs then the damn thing broke down. I have actualy gotten to the point where I\'d like to be able to use a machine to make some light quilt tops for beds and for decorations for presents but the silly machine has slipped some kind of cog and it\'s not worth it to me to pay someone to fix it.

LOL at Georgia, I was thinking the same dang thing about the weeds. They are EVERYWHERE, OMG. haha......Deb, I am sure your gardens are beautiful. We have had a reprieve from the rain and lots of sun right now. My gardens are fading with the season and new colors coming in. I love the spring/early summer best, that is when I have the most color.

I love to sew, just dont have the time right now. I love to quilt and want a new machine, maybe next year. My hubby is on the verge of starting a new business and we have HS tuition due, over 14000 bucks. Yuck......Hope you have a great week Debbie and I certainly hope the rain lets up. Hugs

Sorry you are all soggy. We have had a reprieve. I actually had to water the gardens yesterday, first time. I was going to play out there for a while but the mosquitoes drug me in the house and threw me on the floor and continued to bite me. I have never seen so many of them before, even in the sun. May have to be bad and spray. I got s new sewng machine for x-mas, mine was 80 years old and finally crashed. I love to sew but it is more a winter thing. I make jean quilts but sew them on a machine for durability. I am still figuring it out and got fairly simple too. I mean who needs 92 stitches. Your a smart gal you will figure it out and be passing us up in no time. Good luck with the slugs, I am fighting deer and rabbits. NJ xo
