morning has broken.......

around here we believe in pollen.  we don't like it so much, but we believe.  on saturday there was a pollen count of 50.  yesterday it was 2,973.  anything over 500 is VERY HIGH.  Stay inside if you can.
since we had a recent dip of cool, the pollen hasn't been releasing to it's full effect, but as the sun warmed the earth, we encouraged all that crazy yellow green stuff to come out, come out wherever you are.  the cars are covered with it.......you can see it drift across the road like a light dusting of bright lime colored snow in a warm breeze.  It's something i still stare at..........being raised elsewhere, cause here it is a season all on its own.  if ya go have lunch somewhere, then get in your car.......turn on the AC to cool off, it will even kick out in a cloud right in your face.  Ahhhh, ahhhh choo!
so even if you weren't allergic before moving south, this is just another opportunity to encourage you along.................it wants attention.  it wants to be noticed........it slam dunks folks who are sensitive to all the stuff in bloom.........folks with COPD, Asthma........we need pollen busters to fly in and jump out of airplanes to keep this stuff at bay.  they could spray claritin..........or zyrtec or something.........mercy.
the prettier it gets the worse we feel.  during my newcomer days here in Georgia it used to knock my voice out completely.  that was something.........me.........little pre-sick chatterbox me,unable to talk.
one time i was waiting for someone's flight to arrive and the man sitting next to me discovered that i had laryngitis.  you have never met a HAPPIER MAN!  he proceeded to tell me about his talkative wife, talkative lady boss, talkative women he had known throughout his life.....................he laid it all out there.  how he had been the brunt of endless syllables of speech for the last several decades.........how he had suffered, how odd it is that God has us attracted to the opposite sex when women have the need to talk something like ten times the amount of daily words as compared to most men.  he dubbed me the PERFECT WOMAN...........lol!  i went to the doctor the next day and got the dreaded prednisone to help begin healing my vocal chords.  that man pert near talked me to death................he had been saving his words just waiting to get a word or two or a million in edgewise for way too long............spring sure is purty.
i'm congested, sneezing and in general choking on air inside my house.  last night i had a mild whistle like wheeze emitting from my personal self.  it's gone this morning.  feel pressure in my head......... some tightness in my chest - plan to stay in.
i did good though........i am meeting with karen to do taxes tomorrow afternoon!  great!  i am going to the eye doctor next Tuesday about the vision changes I'm having.  Like right now for example, it's really wonky, but in a few hours I'll be back to the basic 20/20 of it all.  It's different than the vision change requiring reading glasses...........I also learned that the visit is covered by medicare except for a fee of $30.  That is a relief.  I don't know what I thought it would cost, but my imagination also seems to gravitate to a high worrisome unknown number.  Making the call and asking questions.........knowledge being power, sure does help.
(I did get fussed at cause I haven't had my eyes checked in way too long......I told her I had been a busy patient and had recently taken on the dental catching up..........and now it was my eyes turn.  To please know that I have enough guilt without the lecture, but I did complement her, cause her guilt speech was just right, not too much and not too little!  LOL!..........we do what we can as we can to the best of our abilities.........wonky vision means go.......so I will.
Morning rant:
i'm still working on the hematology thing.  i got behind with my broken brain ache.......but in short, in my recent paperwork, there is no referral copy.  without it i can't be seen.  i had asked before and have now asked again for them to either send me or fax the hematologist the necessary form.  this was interpreted differently.  a girl from the rheumy called and said i should schedule my own appt and present the referral form upon arrival. (i was asleep, so this was a voice msg) this makes me feel like JUDGE JUDY.......I wanna say, look at me, pay attention, cause you are acting RI - DICK - UH - LUSS!  Clean out yer ears, stand straight......but no.......I managed to get through to their office again, nothing shy of a miracle............my request so confounded the lady I talked to that she insists that I must speak to the doctor herself.........that the doctor will call me.  Gooooooooooood Grief.  I asked for a copy of my most recent labwork and a copy of the referral.  Not for the secret recipe for rocket fuel to the stars and back.........please, somebody be competent.  Don't over complicate matters..........take the cotton out of yer ears..............ok, feel better now. xoxo
I have a date with some peach yogurt........my first time trying peach yogurt.  I have high hopes.  What else?  My daughter is painting the interior of her home in neutral colors.  My child.......I was so surprised when she told me that her living room, formerly a bright jade green is now beige that I asked who it was on the phone.  She fell out laughing..........I said "no ... really, who is this?"  whoever it was sure did sound like my daughter, a great imitation of her voice for real......but my daughter is not a proponent of neutrals in general and beige in particular.   They are looking to the future, they have a 2 bedroom bungalow and want to prep it for sale not so far down the road.   Neutrals sell better........I'm sure it looks lovely.......it's just knowing her........she is as bold with color as I am subtle.  Just between you, me and the wall.........if beige paint will propel the future of grands along, I am gonna sing Row Row Row your Boat ...........and be a merry quiet little wanna be Grandma. And not say a word about it.......LOL.  Gonna lock my lips and toss the key!  hugs to all this beautiful morn, xoxo
P.S.  My nephew, Zaiah has decided he loves his new baby sister as much as he loves his guinea pig, but he wants to change her name from Hattie Ruth to Belle Ruth.  If they had a boy they were going to call him Maverick.........Zaiah said thank goodness they had a girl as he rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically.  I guess that is the way a five year old votes on names.........LOL!

\"A light dusting of bright lime covered snow in a warm breeze\" is a description of pollen that I had never heard. Very fitting. Much more pleasing to the ears than \"where did all of these chicken droppings come from.\" Whatever you choose to call it, it is a pain in many ways for us.

See you are still dealing with those who do not know how to deal with the public. I have had my share this week already. Got a call this morning from the disability insurance. Young lady was calling to tell me that she would be handling my account now. Been on the program for 3 years now & she is my 5th or 6th different rep. I asked her is my file had a big Red A on it as it seemed no one wanted to handle me. They are in Maine, so fairly close to Salem MA.

Did get a chance to share some of my riddles with her. As usual when I\'m talking to someone like that I ask more questions about them than they do about me.

Regarding the man on the plane - heard a preacher tell one time that only 7% of the men in the US knew how to effectively communicate with women. COUNT ME AMONG THAT 7% - AGREED?

He went on to say that he had a friend who had not told his wife that he loved her since the day they got married. The preacher asked him why he didn\'t tell her that he loved her more often. Friend replied that he had also told her if he ever changed his mind, he would let her know!

Well, keep that pollen at bay - it is bad here also. My vehicle is developing that yellow-green hue to it. Sunday it was find. Mother nature may be giving it a bath late Thursday or early Friday - at least not the snow like some other parts of the US are in line for. Count me out on that!

Have a goodner!!!

Your description of the pollen,WoW!! Living here in the Pacific Northwest,I haven\'t really seen anything like that Serce!
Got a chuckle from hearing about the guy who decides to talk your ear off.
Hope the pollen count settles down and goes away, and that your feeling better.
Peach yogurt Yum! Lemon is my fave, but I wouldn\'t mind sitting a spell with you and eating yogurt and watching the pollen settle.
Always makes me smile to see and hear a Mom and Daughter who love and respect each other. So your nephew wants to change his guinea pigs name to his beloved baby sisters name?....how cute is that!
Fingers and toes crossed about getting the form you need from that Dr.
Wishing you too a good eye test as well. Hugs/Smiles for you Serce xo

Oh, the pollen sounds terrible! Up here in PA, lots of us feel the effects of the pollen but we can\'t see it yet. I dread to think how my allergies will progress when we can actually see it. It\'s already giving my asthma quite a workout. That is hilarious about the man calling you the perfect woman! I love it! You are you know, but he was a quick learner to pick it up so fast. haha. We just got back from our first ever trip to Sweet Frog. It was great! Let us know how the peach turns out. My hubby\'s favorite all time is peach.

I love bright colors too but I usually chicken out and paint beige, but then put colorful furniture and items around instead. I have an interior designer girlfriend who paints every home a wild color and before she sells, she slathers on the beige paint. ever time. lol. Once her entry way was fire truck red, next to that was a lime green living room, next to that was Easter purple dining room. Never a dull moment at her place.

Hope you get your med paperwork and referral all straightened out. I feel for you. makes me totally understand a person who never ever wants to go to the dr. I know just how they feel. It can be such a headache!
