morning

i woke up at 445a and dressed and got coffee.

then came home and watched the same shows but tired of them

both so I kind of turned them off and then turned them on again

and off again and so on....

I shaved, showered and dressed after finishing my coffee

and then hung out with Blue. He is very specific about what he likes

sometimes in that he is only happy when I follow him to the bed

where he likes to lie down and have me lie down next to him.

After that he doesn't fuss for anything else. It feels like a cat pride thing.

Things are good. I have urges for companionship and project but that

will come later in the day.

I don't know if any of you experience this - but as the day goes along

I have thoughts that make me wince for their painfulness or their disturbing nature

but then, I've learned, rather than have them take me out of the moment when either

alone or with others, to quickly nip them in the bud by holding fast to the moment

I am in - and accept them as part of the relativity of life's nature and experience

and so I don't give them too much power.

So I am here now - and just socializing here for the first time

this morning.

Have a good day out there!

Posilutely, I experience the escalation of painful and disturbing thoughts as my day progresses. That radical acceptance you speak of is my the most effective snips I've found for "nipping them in the bud." Little add-ons like positive affirmations and gratitude lists help for the buds with thicker stems that don't snip as easily as the fresh, green buds. At the risk of mixing metaphors, too much sugar rots the teeth, so I go for simple acceptance before I open the sugar bags of positive affirmations and gratitude lists. Life has its pains and disruptions. Sometimes that is *just* life. Other times it is just "growing pains."

Maybe I can relate, though my “winces” are somewhat of a physical sensation of heaviness in that I feel enormous depths of pressure that can hit me out of the blue in the day. I have to tell myself the scolding words of the past to get myself in the Here And Now and quiet that pressure and push it aside….residing in my simplicity only because I can’t handle more than that sometimes. I keep life interesting as best I can by absorbing culture around me, but I definitely have to maneuver around or straight up avoid things that can elicit that kind of heaviness in my day. If that makes any sense. When I worked in the public, it was extraordinarily challenging because sometimes a person would appear and knock me off course. I don’t need to even need to spell it out but I will - walking in human behavior can lead to very unpredictable navigation.

Today is good, but some days just straight up are not.

Hope you are having a good Sunday, Markaroni.

thanks Nikki! Life indeed is in a state of flux and there are those in our lives who can set
us off to neurotics -but we need to back up - if we can - (for me just a moment ago I was full angry
and aimless) but now I have to back up and regroup - and remember my coping mindset to
just take it one step at a time.

It's a good Sunday Nikki!! I hope you can give yourself a good Sundae today! :)
