More stuff
It looks like my job will be ending soon (Long story). I've been looking, but this pt office job was a fluke, as the few jobs there are here are fast food, personal care and industrial. None of which are things I can do. No volunteer stuff even.
My depression is worsening from this. Due to circumstances I end up being stuck at home constantly, and I'm always alone. No actual friends. I'm on my husband's medical, which I have to work <30 hrs a week, or of course have no job which I definitely don't want...We barely see each other due to his varying long hours and his need for lots of sleep.
I just feel powerless about being able to turn this around, because it all sort of comes back to our area, which we can't move from.
I feel so blessed to survive a pe, and it makes me want to live life and cherish it. But it's such a dismal scenario that I'm really frustrated and sad. I feel like a burden, and that I'm just taking up space. I need a purpose and I can't even start the small steps to build up to it, such as find reasonably secure employment.

I\'m so sorry to hear about your job. My husband used to work in the oil field and would be gone for almost two weeks at a time. I hated it. He still works long hours now but at least now he is home every evening. PE already makes a person feel isolated so I really hate that you are dealing with all this right now. But I want to let you know that you are NOT a burden. I struggled with that same thought in the beginning. And I still do on the days I\'m not feeling well. I wonder if my husband thinks I\'m just being lazy or dramatic. But I think at the end of the day our loved ones just want us to feel better.
Thank you for your support...We aren\'t getting along so well, and it\'s almost too much for me to bear. He feels powerless to fix me, and it\'s true he can\'t, no one is capable of that sort of thing. I can\'t seem to fix me either...I\'ve become totally dependent on him since this. Money, home, medical insurance, etc. I just don\'t know what to do to make even a small life for myself anymore...I would step out of my comfort zone (socially not health wise of course) but there isn\'t even a job, service, activity that I can even try. I hope & pray something good turns up.
My husband and I have had our bad days as well. Even days where we just don\'t talk at all. Like you said he tries to fix the situation and he can\'t and it isn\'t his fault he isn\'t a doctor or counselor. So we both end up frustrated. I\'ll be praying for you and your situation.
Thank you so much...Prayers are needed and I will pray for you as well.
