More Side Effects
Turns out that I was experiencing more side effects than I thought, I just didn't realize that they are side effects.
After I looked over the side effects for Risperidone Tablets I realized that I have been struggling with more of the side effects than I thought. Besides increased saliva production, I also have been experiencing increased appetite (wanting to eat even while full), weight gain (I gained 3-4lb since the last time I was weighed 2 weeks ago), upset stomach (almost every time I ate), Trouble sleeping (insomnia, since my last day in the psych ward)
There is only one word to describe how I feel about this: Aargh!!
So I spoke with my pdoc today and I was hoping to be taken off the Risperidone, however instead he put me on yet another drug! I was put on Benztropine (Cogentin) which apparently it's entire purpose is to counteract side effects from drugs like Risperidone.
Ugh! So Now I am on a cocktail of 4 different drugs besides what I was on before! This brings my prescription total to 7. Hopefully this new drug will work!!
