More ramblings.... Just stuff :)
In looking back over my journal entries, I realized I never followed thru with the stuff about my pouch being grumpy or the issues with my CPAP machine.
After several days of a grumpy pouch that turned into a full out pissed off pouch... and the feeling I was going to vomit often (tho I never did!)... I started calling the doc.
We at first thought it was from my CPAP machine being set too high, which still may be a culprit... So they took me off it till I can get into the sleep doc for new tests. The idea was that with the air flow too high, it was blowing air into my pouch and causing pain.
Three days later, with no CPAP, I was still having the same problem. So they put me back on the prilosec. Amazing, but 2 days later, pain and grumpyness G O N E!
So, doc sent me it to be checked for H-pylori. I've not heard back on the results yet... but we will see!
As for a few other things...
I still struggle keeping my calories under 1000 per day. I don't know if its stress eating due to school and $$ worries... or what... but I am a work in progress and will figure it out.
I have found I am learning to better listen to my body and pouch after a couple of stupid moves on my part of eating too much and making myself sooOOoooOOOooo sick! I have to be honest here... I made a pizza on a flat out, low fat cheese, turkey pep... Something I do on occasion when I want a pizza fix... I eat half, save the other half for later... On this day, 1/2 way thru it I KNEW I should have stopped... I had the inside my head talk about it... but I KEPT eating the dang thing till it was gone. And yeah, I was soooooOOooo sick! I never threw up, but I was a mess... and worse than that was how mad I was at myself. But I think I learned from the process and ever since have done a much better job of stopping when I should stop. Of listening to my body, not my emotional head that thinks I need to keep eating.
And this is good... but I still go back to the fact that I nibble too much and am trying to get it under control...
My first term of my senior year is wrapping up too. If you read my earlier entries, you'll know this year is so full of stuff! Working, research, volunteer stuff (that has also turned into some paid stuff too!) AND my classes.... Well, looks like I have managed to pull it all off without messing up my GPA. :) I got a B in one class, the other I don't have my final till next Thursday, but I am confident I'll get a B in that one too.
I figure this busy busy will all help me be better prepared for grad school :) And I sure could not have done this preop!!
So... for weight loss... I broke my own rule of weighing 1 x per month about a week ago. And its official... I have lost 90 lbs now, since my first surgeon weigh in last January 28th (preop).... 10 to go till I have lost 100 and 20 till I weight what I weighed when I met Rich 19-20 years ago! :) just under 30 till I break into onederland! I've not seen onederland since about 1981 :)
Hard to not set some # goals here! I don't normally do that because I like to have goals I can truly control... like how much I exercise, or eat, or the amt of protein I get in... because those I can truly control... but what the scale does with my choices, well... that is outside my control for sure. I learned that the hard way years ago!
