Monday morning

I woke up - read my messages. I decided to take a shower and dress

and then walked the half mile or so to go to the Starbucks.

I mostly make my coffee at home nowadays - but I needed a good jaunt

as I ate plenty of holiday treats yesterday, which has my belly looking

a little like Homer Simpson's!

My mood has been mixed up - but I am glad I kept on with just moving forward.

The drive in me to create art is there - but I don't want to make it about my suffering.

I want it to be about the good stuff.

California has always been a mystery to me. The priority is different

here....and I can't express what that is or why it is...

Things are good and even though I have a depressive side - I'll keep

things good and get on with the day.

I have spring thaw spirits. Where weather is nice but I’m feeling uncomfortable for aome reason emerging from my hibernation period.

I’ve never lived in California but I’m interested in sociology and anthropology and how social circles maneuever. Artsy lives are what confuse me, no matter what geographical location.

As I always say, I just want sincerity in life.

Sending a big hug!

My talent in the visual arts is limited to stick figures (only a slight exaggeration), but I will share my perspectives as a musician. Some of the very best art comes from pain. It's a wonderful way of getting out what you're feeling, rather than having it all bottled up inside (which leads to rumination, depression, etc..). I'd encourage you to consider exploring your art when you're suffering. If you don't like what ends up on paper (canvas, etc.), you can always tear it up and throw it away. I believe you may find the entire process (including the tearing it up part!) to be very cathartic. Hugs.
