......monday.
my green pencil is MIA. kitties are number one on the suspect pool. stinkers!
sleep is turning into a series of naps with an occasional night of undisrupted slumber. ugh. dealing with it the best i can. leaves me feeling sluggish and uninspired during daytime hours.
it's chilly sitting next to the back door. i'm making biscuits and gravy for breakfast. something we never ate growing up.......an adopted habit living in the south. should i add scrambled eggs? feeling so lazy.
it rained all night.......a rather gentle storm.
monday........a new week. i cleaned the cpap equipment. need to take my meds.........leaves are relocating to a new spot when the wind blows through. hearing a quiet hum...........not sure from where.
my friend of many years........Christine, a young 92 shared that her Horace passed away on Wednesday. I pray and feel sadness for my friends loss. She calls me Tex and I call her Peaches.......we met in 1990. So a good long while. I know the kids will not want me to go........it is hard because we need to show up for others. To be present. To lend support and show we care. I need to find a way to show my friend that I care. A series of cards perhaps? A letter...........a plaque? I have to think.
the smell of baking biscuits is drifting into my nose. nice. got the kitty food waiting for the cat kids. calm, quiet morning........takes time to be a part of the day, the light........the new week.
so far time is on my side. hugs to all, pray that you are well, alright.......i miss you ........the days when we all came here more, the days of interaction and support........i still come hoping for resurrection and reunion. the heart still hopes.

Hi Ruthie, I hope your kitties revealed their hiding spot of your green pencil What were they doing with it, drawing tiny Christmas trees? ;-)
I think cards would be a nice, supportive way to comfort your friend at let her know you are thinking of her. We have a lot of restrictions on funerals here still - mainly immediately family, usually 10 people or less. Very sad for people not being able to grieve properly with friends and family around. I agree with you - I miss the old days when DS had a lot of glitches, but there were a lot more of us engaged on the site. So many friends are no where to be found. And people who still come here are much less frequent in their visits, including me. Biscuits and gravy sounds tasty!
