Mom has nine lives....
My Mom was brought to the hospital by ambulancethis morning, after falling face first,down the steps of the garage.Her face has 8 fractures,her 2 eyes are closed, with major black eye,broken nose,fractured sturnum.I was told to brace myself,before going into her hospital room.Even with the warning, I exploded into tears.You can't tell it's my mom.She even as a hard time to talk,due to the pain of all of the fractures in her face.Once it will be safe,she will be transfered to Ottawa,for cosmetic surgery.Still waiting for the CT Scan she went to take at the Cornwall Hospital.My sisters and I will spend the week with her.They all decided to take their vacationearlier than planned.Will keep you posted.Please keep her in your Thoughts and Prayers.Love & Respect,MckenzieOne day at the time.

OMG! When you said she fell, I had no idea it was this bad. My God, she is lucky to be alive. Bless you, your Mom and entire family.
That is really terrible Mck - I do hope she gets the best care possible - glad to hear that she is conscious - which seems to be a good sign. Please keep us informed - she has had such a bad run lately. fond regards, JaneD.

Gosh i am so sorry i missed your journal post. I am praying for her complete recovery. she is so lucky to have you as her daughter. Just as you tell me, please keep the faith and stay strong as i know you will.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful support, I will definitely mention it to my Mother when I see her later today.
Unfortunately today she is feeling awful, she can\'t move, or walk, she is aching all over now.
The plastic sugeon is already in contact with my older sister, he got all of her results, and depending on ther mobility, she will get the reconstructive surgery sooner than expected.
She is getting the of best care, will be transfered to Ottawa for the surgery.
We have photos of the day before when we celebrated their wedding anniversary, in order to give the doctor an idea on how good she looks.
My mom had several cosmetic surgeries in her life, she looks more like a 50 year old, compared to 70 that she will have in August.
She is definitely getting the BEST of care, us girls are seeing to that, believe me.
I will continue to update my journal, for those interested in continuing to pray for her quick recovery.
