Missed Monday!
I usually journal on Mondays but I missed yesterday. I did have a fairly smiley Monday. It was my last day with my friend in Ontario. We went on a road trip to some small towns. The towns in the East are so picturesque compared to the West. We stopped at Port Stanley, on the shore of Lake Erie. We didn't stay at the beach for long because it was cold and windy. But I enjoyed watching and listening to the waves.
Now it is back home to reality. We are going to try and get healthy again.
One thing I forgot to mention. There was an article about us in the newspaper re Lisa's botched bariatric surgery. The court reporter found the record and did a writeup. My SIL's name was in the paper too. He got a call the next day from a distraught lady whose son died. I called and left a message. She called just before I left Ottawa. We talked on the phone for an hour and the next day, we went for lunch. I am going to try and call tomorrow now that I am home. We had a really good visit and cried and laughed. She said that it was the first time she had laughed and it felt good.
We moms really are kindred spirits. I told her about FMO so we may have May as a new member of the club nobody want to qualify for!

How cool that you were able to be a support to another mom in need - to be able help another, and share....and be that kindred spirit. Even if she doesn\'t find FMO, she has found you! Joannax
Wow, that is wonderful you were able to share support in such a way that allowed this person to know some smiles through her pain. Just wonderful.

I have a cousin who died after bariatric surgery. That was about 5 years ago. The surgery was done in New York but I don\'t know which hospital. I\'m so sorry this happened to Lisa. Sending Love, Terry

Please remember to get plenty of rest and nourish your spirit too--giving at this early stage can sometimes cause an unexpected step back-- while we discover how much capacity is within, that can be given to others --without depleting ourselves! It\'s a learning process and always best to take small steps and then bigger as we feel strong enough!!! Compassionate hearts want to give selflessly, (and that\'s wonderful!) yet self assessment is important in maintaining our own healing and progress!
