I can't sleep a wink thinking about you and wishing you would walk in any minute now. I am heartbroken. Why did you have to go so soon. I feel empty. Life has been very unkind to me. The moment you were taken away from me, I knew I would never be the same again. I am not able to put to words what I feel.

I so understand this feeling. I was looking at my husband and called out his name as I watched him get ejected from our van. My heart stopped and the numbness set in and I'm not sure it will ever go away. Sleeping is hard but keep reaching out to those of us who understand what you are feeling. People who haven't lost their spouse just don't understand the loss that we are feeling. It's not only our loss but our kids and other family members as well. We're left holding it all.
