Miss him, but in a different way

My love for him hasn't gone away..If yesterday I was angry I now realise how much I truly miss him. It is however in a softer way. I miss him but it doesn't hurt so much anymore. I feel like crying but the pain isn't acute.

He is from my past now. I miss him like I miss my childhood, like I miss something beautiful that happened to me, that is no longer here and will never be again. It's his memory that is left now. No hope for the future. Just nostalgia for things that once were.
How strange his face looks now in pictures...How far...

Losing a love is so final, it's forever. You know that one day you'll meet your friends and relatives again, maybe in Heavens. But never a lover.

Oh God..I could go through all this pain again if I could relive those months at the beginning...

Listen to me my love. i know full well how your heart hurts and the pain that emptiness can bring. I\'m sorry to say \"all\" in this life is fragile and fleeting, at it\'s best. Our loves, our health, our friends, pets, family and even our own lives are simply on loan to us for a time. The skill to acquire and be good at, is to cherish those times we have together for as long as they last. Then to store those memories in your heart, to be looked back on with joy and love, and thankfulness.
You have the perfect idea of getting through this, though i think you may be premature in your giving up on him. 80% of all break ups, end up back together within 6 months or less, so there is reason to simply think fate may still be kind to you yet. Or perhaps in a year, you\'ll tell me, its the best thing that could happen, as your new love brings you joy beyond your imagination.
I tell you this one true thing.....a girl of your beauty and your kindness and the sensitivity you show, will never have to look for love. Men of all kinds ,and men of quality, of all shapes and descriptions will eagerly bring you gifts, and stand in line to capture your attention, to simply get a smile from that sweet face of yours.
The way you write is reason enough to hold you in ones heart for all the time we have here. You have such an honest, warm beauty to your hand, and skill with words like that of a great artist at work.
i\'m so sorry you feel down about this, and i know you dont feel like seeing it now, as your morning your loss, and thats as it should be. I see clearly that this event is not the end of you at all, but rather a new beginning, with more love and more respect on its way, than you ever thought possible. There is some lucky man out there that will cherish you for all the days of your life....and you will look back on this as good fortune. I know it seems far away at this moment.
with all my respect and kindness.\'

God, this the feeling I have been having for months. I too want to go back to when we first met and even the first 3years we dated... there was real happiness and we took pleasure in the company of one another, something that slowing started fading out.

You seem to be reaching that place where pain turns to reflection.
That is good.
I just got there myself recently.

I still have bad days.
But I am preparing myself for what lies ahead, knowing it will no longer involve her (not easy after 12 years).
But it will happen, like it or not.

It\'s sad. But not impossible.
We can do it.
