Minor Success...Yaaaay
After a week and a half of minor starvation....I got julian to take a bite of a cheese sandwich!
Marlow was almost done, she had eaten everything, her sandwich and her pickles (my kid wants pickles with every meal lol ) and I decided to put Julian's pickles back in the jar before they dried out. So all he had was his sandwich. Then Marlow asked if she could have an orange for a treat for eating all her lunch, oranges are healthy so of course! He saw her sitting there eating her orange, and not knowing that it was fruit, he wanted some. I told him he had to take at least one bite, then I would give him one orange slice.
He took the bite! And he swallowed it. Then I gave him the slice, wich he licked and didn't want. God forbid that boy eat fruit :). Then he took another bite of his sandwich, but he must of spotted me watching him out of the corner of my eye, or he decided that was the end of his cooperation because he spit it back out on the table. Either or, he did take that first bite!
I clapped and fussed about it, and Marlow got down from her chair and did the 'yay good job' dance lol. Julian thought it was awesome and he grinned from ear to ear!
Here's to hoping he eats two bites tomorrow. Since he isn't here today and his mother didn't bother to text or call and let me know he wasn't coming so I didn't have to be up at 7am waiting. Fan-freaking-tastic.
