Mental wrangling
It may be just an off day. Very often when I don’t get what I need in conversation my mind will ‘fill in the blank’ and not in a positive answer. I’m glad I am aware of that It's like an auto correct function mentally but not good.
And also I’m feeling ‘trapped in myself’ today. Do you know what I mean? Like I am not smart enough to change.
I’ve also been having a hard time thinking about getting myself what I need, which is intimacy.
As well I am having lonely times
And it’s like I tell myself I shouldn’t need or I should be able to handle it without it. So I’m here on the site just sharing.

It’s good to have awareness that you may be misconstruing conversation, or filling in the blanks with things that just aren’t true. When I think about understanding, I think about foreign language dancing ways of communicating…..where you may not know a word or the other person doesn’t understand what you are trying to convey….and you sort of work together to get to an understanding. That is a sort of intimacy in and of itself.
I get lonely, and anxious too. I’m good at hiding it and keeping myself busy and engaging my senses with culture. But it’s there, like a dark shadow at times. Bella usually knocks the shadow over, as I’m sure Blue does for you.
How about this for thought:
When you feel “trapped” in yourself, how about practicing kindness to yourself and believing there are healthy paths to walk on to reach a next destination? I may be oversimplifying, but sometimes a weight off the shoulders opens up a freedom to find intimacy, for starters.
In any case, holding you in my prayers tonight. Gnight.
thanks Nikki! For some reason I thought of my neighbor who is an older funny lady. I always thought she was kind of gruff
but I spoke to her the other day in the garage and she said "I can't hear very well, too many rock concerts in my youth!" - It was good
to hear that from her as then when I started to talk to her - I got that she didn't hear a word I said! I would say one thing
and she would sort of cogitate and say what she thought was an answer to my statement...when in fact it was a total different animal. I just felt for her.
Blue does provide me such wonderful companionship.
When I feel trapped in myself I very often feel so devoid of imagination and fear frozen in place. I think that's why I get so thrilled and write
about on here when I have the stroke of inspiration to actually do something that is perspective changing
and actionable and beneficial! Your idea is a good one!!
Gmorning Mark. Hope you got some rejuvenating sleep in.
When you feel trapped in yourself….and frozen….remember that others may feel the same way but for different reasons. And while you can’t control how you want or need something to go, you can be flexible in a moment instead of avoiding it in fear. I hope that makes sense. I haven’t had my coffee yet! Hehe.
I need to shift gears and jump into work enmeshed in analysis and problem solving. Sending a big hug and a prayer for the day.
Thanks Nikki!! Have a great day!!
