Men Must Be Born With The Dillhole Gene!
So, Joey and I had a fairly good brehahaha. Actually, it was more me getting mad and him sitting there like a stump. I told him I was sick of him not doing what I ask him to do, when I ask him to do it. And I don't ask him to do alot at all. I told him that I thought maybe it wasn't me he wanted in his life, he just wanted somebody, and right now I was just that somebody. I was mad, I don't feel special to him, I just feel like the body that fills the hole. Essentially, I do all the cooking, cleaning, child care and intimate needs but I don't get anything in return. No respect, no affection, no help. He didn't deny any of what I said. NOTHING. Not that I wasn't important, not that I wasn't just anybody.
After it was all said and done he made an offhand comment about how it was really me he wanted. But he didn't even look me in the eye when he said it. That's been following me around for days.
But the other day he had to go to the city about three hours away for overnight. He decided to take Marlow so I could have a 'break'. Fantastic. They leave Sunday afternoon. I went for coffee with my mother, then my niece came over and we played some video games, then I watched a movie and read and went to bed. Woke up Monday, I slept in, got ready for work, went to work, and by the time I was done they were home.
So Monday night we are going to look at this vanity from somebody who bought them but didn't like them and was reselling them for cheap. So as I'm getting Marlow ready I ask him if he would grab the garbage and take it out when we left. He makes a big deal about it asking why I can't do it tomorrow. I told him I had a guest coming and I wouldn't have time amongst al the other things I had to still do. So he tosses it out on the deck! Where it still is by the way.
So we get in the car and I'm quiet because I'm pissed. And he snaps out at me telling me I have no right to get mad because I got a break. And then he had the nerve to ask me what I did during the time I didn't have Marlow? Because the house didn't look any cleaner. I'm sorry?!?! You gave me a break and expected me to clean the house top to botttom, then the moment I was finished, drop the kiddo back on me and expect me to take over full care again?
So I'm mad, and he doesn't even get it. He thinks I'm all in the wrong and he is all in the right. Maybe some of what I'm feeling is over reacting, but not all of it. I'm mad that even after I told him everything I'm feeling and thinking, he still won't give me an ounce of respect. To me, doing something when you are asked to do it is respectful. For him, he has NEVER done something when I asked. If I ask him to do his dishes he either just, doesn't, or he leaves them for days. The garbage can sit on the stoop for days. The ferret cage can go uncleaned for months if I'd let it. It really bothers me and he just doesn't get it. Hes just to much of a dillhole sometimes!!!
