Memories of Great Grams-miss you :'(

We must always remember those in our lives who have reached out to help us when we have fallen. We must always remember those who had taken care of us. We must always remember those who have reached out and touched our soul. We must always remember those whom have guided us thorugh the journey of life, to the best of their aibilities. There are many people that have done these things for me, there are many people who have been there. But one person I want to acknowledge today is Great Grams. She had always been there for me, made me smile. Made me laugh. Made me cry. I remember the time when we were really little and at her place, and we went for KFC in Delhi, or the time we went to the doller store there just to get a diary. I remember running through the building she was staying in, the place she called home.  Remember how much she loved her flowers, and how she created and managed grandmas gardens at the pool house. And the midnight chocolate bars if we were awake that late. But most importantly, I remember her always being there. As the years went on, slowly things were fading, she was reaching the end of her time. I did not get to see her as often as I wished I could. I did not get to tell her how much I loved her one last time. I found out the scariest news I have ever heard in my life in November of 2011. She had gone to visit the angels up in the sky. Where she is now watching over me and my family. She is now peacefully resting on the cushion clouds, with the little angels surrounding her, keepin her company. And when it rains, I know it is her tears falling, to let me know shes still here. And when it storms, thunders and lightnings, I know she is having a huge party up there, showing us that we can still live, still have fun, because she too is having fun. I know she is watching over us.  But that doesn’t stop me from missing her. Doesn’t stop me from wanting her to come back home. So I can tell her how much I love her, one last time. So I can give her one more bingo ticket at christmas, so I can spend one last day with her. But I know that’s not going to happen. I know shes not coming back. And I know its not my time to be up there with her. I know that she knows I love her, but I just wish she could hear me tell her one more time, in person. I remember… the cubed shape picture frame we got for her when we were very little. Where we recorded “I love you great grandma from josh, from katrina, from meranda, from amber” where we all said the I love you great grandma together, and then we each said our own names, and then the three of us said ambers name as she was too young to speak. And she held onto that for years. In her places she lived over the years. And every time I saw her, was at her place, I pushed the little red button that played the recording we recorded so long ago. And now that shes with the angels, grandma holds onto this cube shaped picture frame. And when I see grandma and grandpa, I push the little red button, and hear it for the millionth time. I just want to say one more thing, I love you Great Grams.
