Meltdown Time

I am upset. I want to ask some things.
I feel i am in the meltdown moods all the time. It is so hard knowing you can't see or talk to your child. I still just want to and i guess i do ask God and tell him this is so hard and telll Ken this is just too hard. This is not my question. I just know i am totally so unhappy all the time. Don't really see that changing
Now question. Has anyone had your back teeth removed and have a terrible foul taste?  Been two months no pain but surgeon says we have to open the area back up and a bone is sticking out so he has to remove that. I have just never had this taste. Had a dry socket once but it hurt bad
Next question. When Ken was in the hospitaL there was this smell. Never knew where it was coming from. Not a pleasant smell. But three years down the road often I will wake up sweating, my hair is soaked and the smell is there on my hands covers, pillows. And my husband says he smells nothing. Sometimes it last for days. Anyone else go through this?
That's about all tonight. Hope everyone is coping as well as they can
Love to all. Sandi

Very interesting question. I have incidences with unpleasant smells too and wonder if it is just me. I still don\'t have the answer, but since smells are connected to the brain, it could be something in the brain that is giving out false smells.

I haven\'t had this experience. I would be concerned that there was an infection, thus the foul smell/taste. I would definitely make the doctor aware asap if you haven\'t already.

As far as the other smell....the one that reminds you of the time Ken was in the hospital......well, it \"could\" be Ken visiting you and releasing this scent as a way of letting you know it\'s him.... I would ask Ken to visit often, but to use another means of letting you know it\'s him....like a GOOD smell!! LOL! I believe in talking to our kids and I believe in expecting and getting answers!! So, my only advice is to ask Ken and then listen for his answer.

I hope everything goes well with your mouth and you get the answers you need soon.

Love you!
Love to Ken!

I can so relate to wanting to talk to Ken. I wish I could make it better for both of us!
Re the smell - I am with Teri - ask Ken to please send a pleasant smell - or some other sign to let you know he is there! And also, let the doctor know about it. The bad taste really does have to do with the tooth. It could be infected and causing both the odor and bad taste. My prayers are with you.
Love and hugs, Marlene

Good luck with the teeth - an infection maybe? Or food particles that have become lodged? Either way, better out than in. Hope it gets sorted soon for you. Take care ~ Joanna x

I would agree with the others that you may have an infection. I\'m glad you\'re not having any pain at least. I pray one day too that you will not be so unhappy. Much love. Robin

I agree with Teri (remember kala). The taste could be associated with an infection. And the smell is definitely Ken visiting.

It does sound like a infection in your mouth, it could be a piece of food stuck in there which would cause bacteria which could have a bad taste and smell... The other smell is Ken visiting... I get a certian sweet smell every so often and I know the its Ryan visiting... Some time I get another sweet smell and for some reason I can tell if it is Ryan and the other smell isn\'t, its weird but as a mom we know our child, its a natural feeling a mom only knows..XOXO Kelly

Sandi, I do hope all goes well with your teeth. The other smell I feel is Ken visiting but as Teri suggested I would ask Ken to come by with a more pleasant smell.
It takes a long time but I believe it is possible to heal from the trauma of losing a child. I beseeched and begged God to heal me and I remember clearly hearing in my mind, \"I will never leave you or forsake you.\" (not His voice but remembering the Scripture). He is with us Sandi and one day you and I will be reunited with dear Ken and Ed. Until then take one day at a time and enjoy whatever little pleasures you can. Love and peace, Linda

Sandi, I sure hope you find out why you have that foul taste due to missing teeth!!! I have a full denture plate for my top teeth and yet, I still have problems (after 3 years now) of still feeling like a nerve is exposed in the back. No foul tastes, but certain hot and cold foods (or sugary, like chocolate) can make me feel like going through the roof! My dentist took xrays a couple of years ago and no bone, nerves etc are exposed. But still, I cannot eat certain things on that side. It is like I have a phantom tooth gone bad back there! The foul smell you are experiencing could be that if a bone is sticking out, that means food particles could get up in there and cause it...Hope your dentist gets it figured out...

I think the teeth problem will get solved. I
Just had a thought. Before Ken several weeks before Ken went to Heaven he had hjis wife to come and get me. He begged with his eyes and actions to take him home I tried all I could to get him to understand. Then after that the smell started. I know he was upset with me as he knew mom would take him home anytime from that day I felt I failed him even thoug I knehw how sick he was maybe these smells come when I am dreaming lthat I feel I let him down. He knows I would have done anything for him so maybe it is that I need to forgive myself for feeling I let him down at least in my mind. Thanks to all, Sandi

Hoping the problem is solved and not sure about the smell??? I think you have been given wise counsel from these wonderful women and I don\'t have anything to add. Just sending along my love and prayers to you and yes, Ken, please send your mom a fragrance that is soothing and healing. I will take Plumeria any day of the week just to name one!

Let us know how this unfolds dear Sandi.

Heartfelt hugs and gentle, gentle care as there is nothing worse that problems with the teeth as that area is so very close to the brain.
