Meh about my birthday...and thoughts about YT projects

Picking up a couple of pieces while I do a 12-hour fast for a short hospital visit tomorrow...if anyone is wondering, it's nothing scary or major, just a test of my cholesterol levels that is directly related to my meds being adjusted AGAIN (I'm getting sick of this):
* My dad celebrated his birthday yesterday, his 66th.  It came off safely and low-key, which is what he wanted.  Now the problem...the next one up in the family is...well, me...and even though I have gotten loads of support from very helpful friends that has been of value beyond words, especially recently...I still hate it.  I really haven't wanted to celebrate mine for something like 10 years, so I'd want something low-key too...but I just don't like the idea of it being all about me.  I think it's part of my problems.  More on that in a future entry.
* About the Atari 2600 Summer Games longplay I mentioned I plan to do: It won't happen overnight, because it's doubling as a stunt (8 players with 1 player), which means I will need to set aside probably 60-90 minutes to record game footage.  Also, there is one shooting event in that game: It's skeet shooting.  I think it's safe to do this longplay, but if someone feels better seeing footage of the individual events before I do the longplay (probably a week off), please tell me.
* Speaking of longplays: The PC versions of it were better than this, and the bonus game isn't included because no system in the world at the time could have possibly recreated it properly, but does anyone want to see a longplay of the NES version of MTV Remote Control?

I hope your tests are okay.

By the way, I was having problems on my birthday, too. You don\'t have to have a big party or anything. It can just be you and a few close friends. Didn\'t you say something one time about bowling? For your birthday, would you like to go bowling with your parents and friends? If you don\'t want to do anything at all, then you don\'t have to.

I hope your tests show positive results. B\'days haven\'t been one of my \"favorite\" days in yrs. As MeggieLizzie said, maybe you can keep it low key and go bowling with the folks a few people you feel safe with? There is no law that says you HAVE to celebrate your b\'day anyway. Simply tell others around you what you would/would not like to do and leave it a that. If they don\'t like it, that\'s ok to, it is YOUR day after all!!!!

I hope your results were good on your tests! Medication changes are always just sooooooooo much fun aren\'t they! NOT!!
I am like you. I hate my birthday and hate people fussing over me about it, but family does what they think is good I guess. Like Marcie said there is no law you have to celebrate. Tell them you don\'t want anything and hopefully they will grant your wishes!!
Sounds like you are doing well on your games. Geez I feel old hearing about atari games.....lol
