Meeting The OTHER Side
I have PLENTY of experience with Joeys mothers side of the family. The whole snarking, back stabbing lot of them. Most of them are not on my good list, but as I'm an adult I can be civil to all of them.
However, Joey's dad's side remains largley a mystery. I have met the odd aunt or uncle, one at a time, and usually only in passing. But this weekend we are going to a wedding smack dab FULL of them.....and I'm a little panicky.
I want to put my best foot forward, but we can't afford for me to buy a new dress...and due to the fact that I don't often dress up the only dress I have is a grey thing I wear to funerals! I don't own skirts or nice pants either. My makeup is old and generally useless as I don't wear it often either, and replacing it isn't going to happen. The only pair of heels I have are half size to big and you can tell, and I am so hair challenged that my idea of 'done' is a pony tail! I'm a lost cause! I'm going to look like orphan Annie at a gala. Joey always buys nice clothes so he has TONS, he doesn't have to worry about makeup or doing his hair really....plus, they have seen him at his worst so it doesn't much matter.
I have a feeling I'm just going to feel horridly akward and embarassed through the whole damn thing. Why wasn't I born with girly bones in my body???

The \"grey thing\" can become alive if you accessorize and that doesn\'t mean you have to spend a fortune. A grey dress can become chic or sexy according the the style of accessories you use.. Make sure you don\'t cover yourself up. Follow the lines of your body and you will be just fine!
An up hairdo is always elegant, much better than wearing your hair down.
Put soles in your shoes and they are going to be fine.
You don\'t need to replace your make up!!! You can experiment with mixing up different lipsticks to get a new colour. Rule of thumbs, if you focus on your eyes have nude lips. If you focus on your lips make sure you don\'t overdo it on the eyes. The most important thing is the skin. You can search online about home made face scrubs and beauty masks.
Last but not least, glowing from inside makes all the difference..You have such a pretty face, it\'s a shame to \"burry\" it under worry over stuff that can be fixed :)

Very much agree with Pen125 here! You\'ll be fine ;)
lol My dress has these lines on it, like raised pattern of the same colour, so anything I accesorize with cant interfere with the dress....plus I\'m allergic to metal so accessories are hard. I only own one lipstick lol so I\'ll play with eye makeup...but my mascara is like, two years old! So I may need to spurge a bit! My shoes are strappy ones, so an insole won\'t work :(.
Im hoping everyone just gets so drunk they forget what I looked like lol
