March 16th - 19th: In which we become six-year-olds and I get stupidly excited about Rachmaninoff
Dear Kitty, So, it's been three days since I last wrote, but heaps has happened, and I've got so much to write and only the rest of double Music left to write it in... So, referring to the title of this entry, these last three days have been mixed-up, to say the least, but also fantastic fun. So, why six-year-olds? Well, when your ages range from thirteen to fifteen and you're in a park...what else do you do? (sorry, I'm in a surprisingly good mood...) The last few days have just been amazing fun! When I think back to the beginning of the year, I'd never have even dreamed of having all these friends and having such fun with them! With them, I can just be myself. I needn't be more or less mature than I am usually, and I can just be completely relaxed around all of them. It's a fantastic feeling. As for the Rachmaninoff, I've a concert today and we're playing the first movement of the second piano concerto in C-minor...I've never been so excited about going to Orchstra or having a concert in my life! Well, apart from the Music Tour. But the Rachmaninoff is so good! It's just the opening chords and then when the orchestra comes in...it's just incredibly powerful. Amy (my room buddy for only one more night...*sniff sniff*) has a song that she gives her shivers, so it's constantly playing in our dorm; well, if 'When You Say Nothing At All' gives her shivers, the Rachmaninoff gives me shivers! It really is the most gorgeous piece I've ever heard; I knew I should have gone to Orchestra more often this term... Anyway, onto the more important stuff so I stop talking absolute drivel...Hector is upset. Again. And he won't tell me what's up. Knowing me, it's probably my fault all over again. He is being rather melodramatic, though...it's starting to get ever so slightly exasperating. I've been trying to be patient with him, but, if I'm brutally honest and terribly blunt, then it is starting to get rather difficult...I want him to tell me what's up because I'm worried, but for some reason that I simply cannot fathom, he appears to think that it's my fault that he won't tell me what's up. How on Earth is it my fault? Apparently, it's because I won't tell him my problems. Well, I don't tell anyone my problems apart from you, Kitty, so he needn't feel left out; he's in a majority there. I'd better go; I've to finish off my GCSE composition. All I need do now is put in the dynamics, and then I'm to re-record my GCSE ensemble performance in break...provided that the others actually turn up... I'll write more soon. Suddenly the alternate answer to 'How do you solve a problem like Maria?' would be the simple answer with Hector...oooh, that was mean. Doctor Who seems to apply here (apart from the fact that I'm a girl): 'Ooh, that was rude. Is that the sort of man I am now? Rude and not ginger...'I'll write more later.Ever yours,Francesca
