Mania

Back in the bad ol' days when I was still welcome in Bipolar support groups, I would have declared myself in "Manic Episode" on a morning like this morning. I would have been rattling all those peer support lines for help in finding the therapy tools to navigate the episode without threats to family and public safety, etc. The last umpteen times I tried that ploy, I was met at the door by the Med Compliance Officers. I don't care to do the research, but I'll bet ya dollars to wishes that some of those Med Compliance Officers are now carrying collection kits for piss tests to prove your compliance before you are allowed to enter. The piss handlers of the world need gainful employment, doncha know?

As I have ridden out the invalidation of my decades of MD/BP therapy, I find myself still wanting to believe in the progress I have made since I left the throw-away kid camps and honor the tools which facilitated that progress. The noodles in the alphabet soup have all changed names, but the soup is still good.

Isn't it? ? ?

No, dear Suncloud, you never struck me a compliance officer, but at the very least, the DS BP forum does seem to have, at the very least, several Big Pharma stockholders on board. I feel thoroughly rejected there. I am still grieving that loss of support.

Here in the U.S., the Med Compliance trend is far and away bigger than DS. I wasn't kidding about the support groups who mandate Compliance Testing before you can join. Most courts have several med compliance officers on their support staffs. I do believe the compliance task forces might already have a greater budget and honor than the War on Drug superstars. At present, I know far more people who have been recently tested for compliance than illicit drug use.

Butttttttaaaaaa. . .

The Cosmos never close one door without opening another. Research in progress. . .

So far, for today, the channeling seems to be quieting the mania.
