mandate anxiety?
"covid anxiety syndrome" seems to be nearing an official thing here near the end of covid, year two. alas, it is about the stresses of properly compliant folks losing the new normal. the unseen world of microbes is **out there** waiting to victimize me? dunno. . . it's not mine to sort and my healing hopes want to simply trust the folks on the other side of the masked divide to sort their own. healing hopes for all. no exceptions.
my respect for the unseen world of microbes includes respect for the lethal nature of many of those microbes. when handling bio-hazards such as decaying animal corpses, etc., i do find comfort in wearing a mask and gloves. i might even take a biohazard suit, if you have one handy. forgive me if i run both the germaphobes and chemophobes off the job site. irrational fears donae enhance the focus required to fix the problem at hand. there are things here we SHOULD be rationally afraid of and not one of them is in anybody's head. keep it real, folks. here and now. . . eyes front. . . physical senses fine tuned. . .
as i look for ways to calm and process the accumulated angst from the past two years, the CAS model provides me some clues but falls far short of the mark. word search in progress. . .
letting god (another citizen of that unseen world) lead the dance. . .
today i leave the mood icon squarely on "okay." far from perfect, but okay.

Glad you are ok. I thought about the news item that all the mask wearing has significantly reduced the number of deaths from regular influenza each year. So there’s that.
Sending prayers and high fives.
among the questions on the heavily censored end of that official theory is if the mask/chemical approach greatly weakens our immune systems. is the goal an immunocompromised culture?
just wondering and working up the courage to wonder out loud after two years of mandated censorship. wondering out loud used to be the heart and soul of science. question everything.
I agree! Have a safe intellectual place is important! Wonder out loud eh?!
still i am starting my days with obsessive searches for the latest mandates and pandemic stats. i still don't much trust the stats, but they are the driving force behind the mandate machine. is it odd that my love of playing with statistics is the very source of my mistrust of them? in my convoluted brain, numbers and music feel like the very same process. the tune i am humming is approximately equal to the statistics i am running. they are ever-changing and subject to interpretation by nature and make a far better hobby than legislative tool.
in recent weeks my mandate check has turned up more protests than new mandates. interpretation of the old mandates remains wildly unpredictable, but? ? ? is that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel the end of the tunnel or just another fast-moving mandate train?
the covidic obsessing seems to be easing. the threat of the maskites rising anew remains, but control freaks wear many masks and are well supplied with boatloads of mandates by many names and justifications. they remind me often, on the most peaceful of days that "war" is an acronym for "we are right." more than once, i have been the righteous fool bringing my own pet mandates to peaceful days.
am i feeling my "mandate anxiety" shift to a more familiar thread? immigration. immigration just might have been my first active participation in an established political agenda. i have no desire to join in another public demonstration, butttttaaaaa. . . the only help we were able to find in the masked social distances of coronaville was in the body of an illegal immigrant. she has been with us for 2 years now and continues growing in her helpfulness in farm operations, children included. the children would be devastated to loose her. it is all to easy to imagine their maternal family viewing her as competition and using immigration laws to remove the competition. it is common practice in their inter-city barrio.
setting that aside for now. . .
is "mandate anxiety" just another name for "authority issues?"
