Oh, for Pete\'s sake! I wonder if there\'s a guy named Gibralter and if people fell off trying to climb the daggone rock!!

I wonder if Tim is nervous being around you....knowing that this happened.

I am behind on reading journals, but I\'m glad to see that your mom is already doing better than when you originally wrote about her. That must be a relief for you - answered prayer! I will pray for the family who lost their son in the drowning accident when you were at the ER, and now the young man who fell from your namesake, Pilot Rock.

So much has happened.........hello, soft soft hugs........prayers are on their way in care of your Mom as she heals and learns how to manage and cope with diabetes. My former MIL, the sweetest woman of life, got diabetes as an adult and it took time to learn, but she really has done well. At first she was about 30 lbs overweight, when she changed her diet, the weight started falling off her, but then she couldn\'t stop losing......so they then had a whole different problem to tackle......to help her gain weight. But eventually they were able to get her stabilized......and she has done really well.

I\'ve never seen a helicopter take off or land, that would blow my socks off too! I\'ve dreamed and wished that a chopper would fly over my backyard and leave a palette with a big wonderful hot tub, but so far no such luck.

......I cannot even imagine the grief of the mother of one so young ......about to graduate......losing his life. It breaks my heart and is far beyond my ability of understanding. I have known women who have lost children and it is a grief that never leaves their faces or their eyes. They come back to do so much with their lives, but it leaves telltale signs of heartbreak.

I am so sorry to hear about the young man losing his life climbing in your area. only 22 and not long after losing that 21 year old woman........it\'s so hard, when i was that age I used to tell my Dad that I would rather die doing something exciting than to get hit by a bus on a Tuesday.......doesn\'t that sound like a young person? I used to do some dangerous stunts at times and while it gave me a thrill I\'m sure it gave him a lot of the gray hair he sported.........I am praying for the families of these young people.......for your Mom, for you as you help her manage, so grateful that it was not a blood clot.......God bless you for sharing and updating us on your life and times.

Sure do love you. ........hugs, ruthie

This world is full of danger and potential death at every step.It is impossible not to be effected and feel the pain of suffering for others and to feel fear ourselves.Without spiritual life and belief in God, how could we ever get through it all.My only comfort is to remind myself that I am eternal and this body was never designed to last.Just watching the news is difficult for me, especially where tiny children are forced to suffer due to to man\'s spiritual ignorance resulting in wars. All due to falsely identifying with their temporary material bodies , their religion, place of birth, color of skin , ownership of land etc etc.and then justifying their behaviour based on their illusions.
