making your way in the world today takes everything you've got

I am reminded of that line from the opening song to "Cheers."  It rings true to me while I have been thinking about certain things in my life that are coming to the forefront of my thoughts.
I had some problems and I would reach out to have my problems and my self esteem bolstered by other people. That's OK to a certain extent. It truly is nice to have the company and comradery of others but I also think it's crucial that we learn to be self reliant on those matters too, otherwise the issues never get solved. I have a mountain to climb right now, but being clear on what it is that I need to do has come through some pretty basic considerations.  The considerations are that I need to suss out what is it that is influencing me right now. I went into Santa Monica today - and felt so not a part of that world of everyone with jobs and money. I have a job but very limited resources. I nearly started to feel bad about myself but I saw myself through the discomfort - even the lack of self value and pumped myself up by doing so.  I do have limited resources and I do live in this weird group home.  But I can face the challenge of incrimentally improving my life even though I may be vexed sometimes I have to see myself through it.
I love coming on this site. I love sharing thoughts with others. I hope in some way I hope my writing can inspire too.

You are VERY inspirational Mark! Anytime the negative thoughts start creeping in, replace them with something positive. You are very strong-willed!
