making the benchmarks meaningful
I got up this morning, went to coffee,
came home and turned on the usual shows.
Washed the dishes, cleaned the kitty litter,
made the bed, took a shower and dressed.
Ate some breakfast.
Then went to the market where I bought some
sundries.
Came back home and put things away - logged my
expenses in my accounting ledger...
Then was caught up in some other adulting type things.
I am now waiting for the family zoom call at 9am..
In the meantime I am just thinking about the diet
I need to be on... going to go for a long walk
after the zoom - 15 minutes up the road and 15 minutes back.
It's an overcast, cool day and so it will be enjoyable!
I'll probably go to my parents' house later.
There are things I could watch on the tely later today
when I come back home. It's kind of just a process or marking
the time here - and trying not to eat my way through it..
Maybe I'll go to a museum in LA tomorrow if I don't have deliveries
to do...I also need to get my car serviced as well..I'll definitely call
and make an appointment for that when the service department opens
tomorrow. It'll be great to get that out of the way. :)
Things are good...Happy Sunday!!

I am realizing that when alone I can objectify myself to think of the benchmarks to the day,
and then too I am recognizing the choices I am making... taking care...
Feeling grateful. My mind may undermine me at times when I am with others and put me in
a deficit - a mental hole - but I can remember my choices.
Went for a nice long walk. Now cuddle time with Blue
Glad you had a nice walk. Ive started a little bus errand…… looking forward to bella time. Hope you are having a peaceful Sunday
Thanks Nikki! Have a successful errand!
Not every day needs a benchmark, Markus Questionarius. It's enough to just be and let the benchmarks happen as they will. My own benchmarks all seem to happen by their schedule more than mine. When I am busy working my own agenda, I all too often miss those critical benchmarks.
15 minutes is a long walk for you? I need that long to close my chicken coops at night and open them again in the morning.
..round trip 30 minutes usually, today it was closer to 40.
now, I might go to church that starts in half an hour,
or I might go to the german/swiss bakery and buy a coffee
and sit on the terrace there and hang out.
I could do both - I don't have to be at my folks' place until 2pm.
Maybe I will go to the bookstore, still trying to save for a goal...
so I can't purchase anything- Maybe I'll do all three! :)
Anyways, I'm heading out.
peace!
I came to Starbucks. I am finding a prayer through the moments of unknown desire to be guiding me on a peaceful reassurance through my day.
I’ll go back home now
I am frequently amazed at how often praying my way through those moments of unknown desire open my ears to the Quiet Voice whispering simple instructions, such as, "Turn left." My willingness to follow those simple instructions has been known to lead me to profound places.
I think I enjoy my time in bookstores more when I am broke. When I have the money to buy, I tend to be more focused on making good selections than opening myself to the mystery of books and the secretive scoping of my fellow bookworms. I've yet to get thrown out of a book store for excessive browsing. Yet. Testing limits is part of my own questioning nature.
haha - you're so funny! Happy Sunday!
You’ve been productive. Sounds like an upbeat day :)
thanks Nikki! :-)
