Making plans for better times ahead

I've finally gotten to a frame of mind where I can think a bit positive, make plans and think about the future and what I want to do with my life. Strange maybe I'm 42 and thinking now what I want to do with my life but it changes and I don't like where I'm at so its time to change something again. I have had little to be excited about recently and life has become stagnant. I don't have a goal or dream to pursue to my mind has only mundane depressing things to focus on. I need   I've realized I need a purpose... a dream. I lived for my children for so many years and that was what gave me strength and kept me going. They don't need me like they did then and I have doen the going back to school and getting a career thing. I'm feeling lost. For the first few years after leaving my husband I had a whole new life to pursue, freedom of a sort and I dated and was interested in dating and finding a man to be my best friend and companion. I have a great man in my life now and though its not moving as fast as I'd like I just need to learn to slow down, we've only been dating 14 months. So what now, what is my next goal, my next adventure or project? I have always dreamed of being self-employed... I hate working for other people who dictate my hours and what I have to do... I'm so sick of sending out daily and weekly status reports to prove I've done my job. So this week I was looking on kijiji for a computer for my boyfriend and an ad showed up that wasn't a computer. It was a used bookstore for sale. I've been to the store and its awesome. I love books, I love especially old books, so I started asking questions. Its going really cheap cause the owner has cancer and has to give it up, it makes a decent profit each year, its well established. I've been emailing back and forth with the owner and I'm finally excited about something. I've already looked into funding options. Now I need to do a business plan... at least its something to focus on even if I never get it (but I'm not thinking that way). I've run my own business before but not a store, but my boyfriend has managed shops before. There's alot more to think about and I have. I'm not jumping into anything too quick but I'm doing lots of research and will figure it out well before I do anything concrete.
