Make over for a friend
this will be a short entry as I have things to do around the house and then be at my girlfriends by 9:00. we started redoing her spare room yesterday which will be their bedroom when finished. i am going to take some before and after pics so I will post some. We are using fiberdeco for the walls. it is a wonderful product to work with. It covers up major flaws like cracks and holes. it is environmentally friendly as it is made from recycled paper. You can get it in a multitude of colors. Clean up is simple soap and water and no effort. It resembles papier machie when mixed with the water. it is fun to put on. I was there all day yesterday,9 til 5 and we have the room prepped and a 2 foot wide stripe done. With luck we will finish all the walls today. then it takes about 3 days to dry completely. then we are going to tackle the ceiling. Probably do what i did in my rec room. we will trowel on randomly swirls of drywall compound. Then paint it white. she wants to have flecks of silver in it so I think we will try adding some craft silver to the paint and see what happens.Anyway, I am tired today and tummy has been upset since yesterday afternoon. Oh, poooh, not another flu!!! not bad enough to hold me down but it does slow me down. ah, well, i shall survive.anyway, dear friends, have a great day. debbie

Well when you are done have 3 rooms to paint. Nothing fancy just paint. Your friend is lucky that you are helping her. Sounds cool but I must say SILVER...Eww...Sorry. I can wait a month or so till you are done. Just let me know when you are available. LOL Naomi xo
Your friend is fortunate to have you there to help. Sounds like a fun compound to work with. Does it have any odour to it? Like wet newspaper?? Enjoy! xo
this sounds like a fun project...what does the walls look like when the decofiber dries...almost like stucco? It sounds kinda messy to put up, but i guess thats part of the fun! hope you guys have a great weekend...and you get a nice big slice of the warmer weather coming our way too! hugs to you
