Love is action, love is work, and love is a decision.

"Love is action, love is work, and love is a decision."

And it's a decision made not just once but *every day*. And if you decide through inaction or laziness to let it slide, to let it just slowly die off, then it's your own fault and *not* that of your partner if you chose to NEVER EVER say anything. Most especially if you also chose to keep going through the motions of still loving and saying repeatedly that you love the other person while all the while it was just a big fat lie and you were really busy falling for someone else.  Jerk.

Yes, this is personal for me. Just, if you're going to be the sort of person that pulls that sort of crap, then take responsibility for it, for not being willing to simply communicate much less actually work at your relationship. And you should also pretty much expect that your soon-to-be-ex-partner will likely have some pretty defined and harsh opinions about you and your choices. Deal with it.

You don't like the person I've become? You started it, you helped create it, hold yourself accountable for your part in it.

For what it's worth, I don't like the person you've become either.  I have NO respect for you at all and like you even less. What's up with you dressing like either a wanna-be hipster or else in something that looks like 3 year old picked out your outfit with its fluorescent, clashing colors, 3 or 4 different patterns (stripes, paisley, tie-dye...yes, all in the same outfit *shudder*)?  I don't respect your childish behavior or your abrupt 'claim' that you're suddenly vegan (sure you are, can't possibly be that SHE is and you do whatever she tells you) when every year for your birthday you demanded to go to a really good steakhouse so you could order their biggest steak.  Did she make you ceremoniously burn your "Meat is Murder. Tasty, tasty murder." t-shirt that you used to wear so proudly several times a month?  Or when you're condescending and contemptuous of work when they order in catering for everyone, including some vegan things that only the pair of you eat and no one else touches, but you still remark of the free meal, "If you call that food."  Yeah, you've become a rude, poisonous little toerag that barely passes for human most of the time.  :p  And you know, it's not just me that's noticed it either; I get comments from people several times a month, even still, several years later.

You ever read something and wham, it just sets you off into introspective mode?  Here's the link that started all of the above.  LOL
