Love comes in different forms

i've been noticing today, asking myself if I will ever have a love of my own.

that being said - it seems something I am starved for most days that I am here.

the gentleness and intimacy but challenge of the relationships here is teaching me.

I dream of a love of my own and have really wonderful moments when I think

and dream about that. I am noticing that it's a nuanced thing though in my life and not

just the big picture things.

maybe love for me will come in a different form? Will I have those moments

here with Blue in my room - listening to the news or music on my radio

with a lighted candle?

I've been coaching a young priest lately in the act of conducting service.

I am finding that maybe that is the love I have?- of making sure he is doing well -

to stand in the background and guide him towards success?

Love comes in different forms - and it is nuanced - and maybe there's a lot of love I have in my life.....already!

Love of family and friends and Blue and my Godson - and yes the monastics - though I present myself challenged?

Perhaps love may not come for me in the form of a significant other - though it's a dream.

but for now - i am learning to enjoy the life I have right in front of me - day in day out - all the different details and colors...

Big squishy hug sweetie

You're right of course love comes in many forms

You've been talking about this more since moving to the monastary sweetie

Do you feel like it's something you're being forced to give up on?

Are you able to get out to meet people? I doubt you are going to meet a significant other at the monastery. I know you have talked about this a long time. 1st Corinthinans 7:7-8 says I wish that all you you were as I am(Paul), But each of you has your own gift from God, one has this gift, another has that. Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: it is good for them to stay unmarried as I do".
Just a thought.
