Love and Passion
Love and Passion It feels good to be alive. I feel 16 again. I forgot what it felt like to WANT someone. not just want them to show up, but really WANT them. It is scary. FEAR tells us to double check, to shore up the walls. To protect ourselves at all costs. It doesnt tell you the cost. The cost is you get to be numb. You get to forget what Love feels like. You forget what passion felt like. You go through the motions, and end up resenting even that much. You can't connect to someone with a wall up. I feel shy. I feel silly. I FEEL! Feeling is risky, I know. YOu can get hurt if you are willing to feel. I have lived with short walls, i have built tall walls. The short walls dont actually allow you to connect as much as no walls. Short walls leave you guarded and suspicious. Suspicion is a natural beginning to FEAR.Fear keeps us in the boat. When Peter got out of the boat, he was suspicious of the waves, and instead of looking at Jesus, he looked at the water. When Jesus got his hand, a connection was made. FEAR cannot abide with connection, love, faith.Respect is important. I will insist on respect. I will not share a man with anything or anybody. He's out of the boat and into my arms and I like it.
