Loss of a pet
We lost our beloved Jackie boy today. He was truly the best collie I have ever had. I've had 4 collies in my life time and Jack was by far the gentlest soul. Kids could jump on him, pull his ears....he just didn't care as long as he could be with them. I only once saw him growl and that was when a stray dog came up on our property and was crawling towards our kids in a threatening manner. He was ready to protect the kids.
He saved our kids once again when my son had a sleep over. He was camping out in a near by field and a pack of coytes came up. He woke the boys up to get them safely home:)
Everywhere we lived he became the neighborhood dog , beloved by all who met him. Poor baby would stop people in the middle of the road hoping they would get out and pet him:)
He will be so missed by everyone. We are heartbroken.

I just saw your journal today. You have my sympathy. Jack looks like he was a good guy ! I have always loved my dogs like they were my children. To lose them hurts like losing a member of the family. I\'m sorry for your loss my friend.
