loosing or regaining a sense of power over your life

I have noticed how resilient people are in their lives.  The mental illness which strikes us is counter-acted by some serious energy into reclaiming that loss of power that was lost. Whether it be through creative means or dialogue.  I was lying in bed last night, feeling at a loss as to what to do about things. I just needed some creative inspiration is all. I dug down and noticed that my illness has put me in a place of accepting more and more a graduated loss of self, self determination and self satisfaction. When you are on your own and able to take care of your needs, all of that reverbation of the things around you support you in your healthy, satisfied and accomplished attitudes. It's nurturing to an extent (and self sustaining.) When you don't have those cumulative things, it's a draw on your energies, a smaller space to survive in and it's asking you to live with less and be as satisfied with it. I feel inspired now to take back those lost life affirming things. Either through creative expressions (like those masterful drawings that MojoPaw does) or through writing. I will not be satisfied with less, that is lying back and letting the cards that we were dealt defeat us. I've got a good base camp to work from, it's time to get started on some forays back into the productive world.
Peace.  MM
