Looking Up With Crossed Fingers...

Hey wow I'd forgotten all about this site...but got that message from Doug this morning and remembered it. Things are...up and down, but more up than down lately. I first came here last Octoberin a fit of despair, and have since survived the holidays, quit smoking, and started exercising with more discipline. I am on Day 33 of quitting smoking and feel alright.       Exercising is one of the toughest things for me. We have a gym here at work, and I don't know who's in it between 7:30 and 8 AM, probably nobody, but still, I'm waaay too self conscious to work out in front of other people, so what I did was start climbing the stairs here instead. Wow holy run on sentence! :) I get in at about 7:25, change clothes, grab a bottle of water, and start climbing at about 7:30. I still have to stop every 5 minutes or so to catch my breath though.         Quitting smoking gets easier every day, which is nothing short of fantastic. Unfortunately, I quit on 3/9 and my boyfriend lost his job shortly thereafter, on the 19th. Also, the company I work for as a contractor got bought out and I may end up losing my job but I'm hanging on for dear life. I guess I'm here until they shut the whole operation down or whatever. Rumor has it, however, that they're going to keep this building almost the same, so there's hope that they'll either hire me or pick up a contract with the company I work for as a contractor.       Still kinda braindead this morning, but things are going well, I have a nice breakfast to eat(hooray for free breakfast here at work every Thursday!), and I'm off to surf the net.
