Looking Pretty

Today I went into work looking pretty. Not for any particular occasion, just to dress up. I even wore heels (and boy did I pay for that!) and a skirt. I did a bit of makeup (just eyeshadow) too. It was so hot walking to work... 86 degrees and humid. It took me a while to stop sweating. That's why I don't wear face powder. I would just sweat it all off. I don't wear makeup often, so it's not worth it to me to get something sweat resistant. As for the heels, well, they hurt my knees. The tendons on the outside of my left knee are hurting, and the tendons on my right leg to the kneecap hurt too. I hope I can go for my walk tomorrow. I lost some of the weight that I gained since I got back... it's been yo-yo for a while now. Last week I was at 217 for my week 1 of a weight loss challenge. I weigh in tomorrow again for this week. I was 218 today. Hopefully I can get under 218 again. I know I'm going to go see my mom soon, and that I will probably gain weight when I'm there. Maybe or maybe not.. they don't cook food the same since Joy passed. She was a typical Southern cook.. lots of butter and stuff. Tracy, my mom's husband, cooks too, but he's a bit more reserved on the fat. I know the scale at my mom's house is accurate, so I might weigh more or less than I do at home. I only know for sure if I have lost weight if I weigh myself when I get back home.

isn\'t it interesting when one dresses up how different you feel? I rarely do this, put on some makeup and dress nice, but I do feel prettier, I wish I would dot more. I cant wear heels at all. and flats don\'t stay on me, hmmmm I am sorry the heels hurt your legs and knee, maybe try again if you have a ride to where you are going. hugsss

I think the dress code is more casual in today\'s society then \"back in the day\" when slacks where frowned upon in the office work place. Next time you might carry the heels and change at work. That way you have a back up pair in case the heels get to be too much during the day.
Enjoy your visit with your Mom.
