Letting go of 'control' for me was one of the best things I did for myself....The only control I have is over myself and nothing else around me, what I encounter, or how others respond to me.
Yes, and No, not so much guilt as 'disappointment and frustration' with myself when I don't do what I know "I Can Do".
I've let go of wanting to 'find' someone as a partner, I'm good on my own, less complications and confusion and I can do what I want when and how I want...it's been nearly 30 years since my last relationship 'relationship'...the years were spent raising John and keeping my head above the water level, despite feeling like I was drowning sometimes...even at almost 72, in a couple of weeks I feel like I'm drowning right now with so many responsibilities my head is spinning left and right.
