Looking ahead

I wrote this to my friend Father Or at his monastery in Norway.

“I hope someday many young families come and spend Easter Weekend with you. This weekend was so gratifying and fun to host a community like we did. Just relaxing and being together. We’re cleaning up now but it really showed me how important and special these monasteries are. And how vital they are in people’s lives.
I go back to St. Nina’s on Thursday, god willing:)”

And this is just a note that my experience here was important, and though there are things to love here, which I do, my life and my community and heart are in Maryland. I’ve got a new sense of vision much like a retreat for business can make you look at your work with a fresh perspective. I feel energized.
