Living with my MG
5/18/16
Today was a good day. I have been able to talk, chew, and swallow with out too much trouble. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I did up my prednisone to 30 mg but this started yesterday. I am not taking this for granted. But it would be nice to have it go into remission.
I have the best Dr and her PA. They have been right on top of this from the beginning.

Dr has me up to 30mg of preonisone in am. and up to 560mg a day of the mestinon. I take that about an hour before meals. Before I am done eating I can start to feel the tongue and swallowing get harder for me. Rest for a moment and it gets better. That seems to be the fatigue setting in. One thing with the mestinon is that you can chew it and it is not to bad tasting and goes down easy. Finally as of last week I have been able to go out to eat.
The doctor has me on 40 milligrams of prednisone and I have just completed my 5 plasma exchange treatments. I have no problem swallowing or losing control of my tongue or eyelid group the only thing is fatigue after doing some work or at the end of the day. It\'s almost as though the mg is in remission. I wish everybody could have this success but I\'m not holding my breath.
