Little things
Trolling Facebook like it's my job today, I see so many cute ideas for Halloween snacks and crafts. Halloween...Cassi's favorite holiday. She would still dress up in elaborate costumes she made herself, then go to parties instead of trick or treating. She loved to decorate for Halloween too.
Christmas was my favorite...because even as an adult (technically) I would pile mountains of presents under the tree for her...try to give her Chritmases I always wanted but never got.
So with the comfortable weather comes holiday season.
It's the little things that tear me up...because they aren't little things, not to me.

I understand completely. I teared up at my grandson's hockey game today remembering Ed's games and childhood. Gentle hugs, Linda ♡
I wish I could say some magic words to make it all okay... we all know there are no words or acts that will make much difference... knowing people care helps... but the pain is part of us now and will be... Hanging on to memories and trying to be more glad they lived is what I lean on most...
Can you come to terms with these holidays? This is a work in progress for me, I keep trying to deal with Christmas. I now can watch Christmas movies. It took many years but that is my one step. I buy presents for my grandchildren without emotion now I look forward to try to make them smile and get exited over what they get. Step two. Will I ever be able to decorate my tree? Not yet. That has become my twin granddaughters job. I am not ready yet.
You are not alone we are all here and have the same problems of trying to cope with our normal in the past, which is not our normal now. How you feel is the way things are for now but not forever.
Tight Hugs

They are not little things and they are those moments that somehow each of us learns how to navigate. Not sure how we do, yet we do. Snow... Perhaps that is why I needed to move far away from it as Douglas could not wait for it because he would hit the slopes and board. I had not thought of that before.
Gentle care dear Gina as you remember and MISS not being able to do those things as you used to with and for Cassi.
