You can donate and get a candle to light and put in the sand vessel
and say a prayer. This one is in front of the Theotokos (Mother of God) or aka the Virgin Mary!
"narthex" was the very name i was looking for, markus. thank you. i often think the reason i am so bad with names is that there are so many names for every little thing. the names which date all the way back to ancient greece or further are especially distracting.
i've grown a liking for the mexican catholic prayer candles. the top of my mother-in-law's roll top desk has become my favorite narthex to burn them in. i can pray and tend my orphans at the same time.
