Lisa is 40 in Heaven
Today is Lisa's 40th birthday. It has been so hard - I loved my 40th birthday and I remember telling her that she would too. I hope I was right.
We visited Monet's home in Giverny today. You need to go by train and bus to get there but it was worth the time and effort. He loved flowers so had the most magnificent gardens. I was magical. He created his famous lily pad paintings there and we saw the lily pond. It is no wonder he did impressionist art - the area looked like an impressionist painting. The flowers were a blaze of color. Apparently the gardens are planted so that there are flowers blooming from Spring to late fall, but they say the best time to go is between April and June. I agree.
I felt Lisa with me today. I felt a calm joy. I believe she sent the bird back to sing to me. It was sitting in a tree and Joe was able to photograph it. When others tried, it flew away. I still wish she had been here in person to ooh and aah over the flowers with me. She did love flowers.
My dear sweet Lisa: I hope you are celebrating the big 4 0. I so wish you could have been with us to explore the nooks an crannies of the garden. I miss you always and love you forever. Mum

The gardens sound magnificent. It\'s so nice that you felt Lisa with you, and she sent you a bird to sing for you. I\'m sure she is right by your side. I know it\'s not the same as a flesh and blood hug. What a grand party we all are going to have in heaven when we\'re together with our sons and daughters.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Lisa\'s 40th - I know she was with you every step of the way. And you with her. It sounds so enchanting - I love the Impressionist painters and I\'m sure I saw \" Water Lilies \" at MoMA many years ago....huge, too, as I recall....

I adored my lily pond even though it was only 300 gallons. Aren\'t those flowers beautiful. We took it out about the time Josh died. Now it is a sand box for my dog, AJ. She loves it.
