Lightbulb moment
Good Morning Friends, I hope all is going well with everyone today. We had some blessed rain a day ago and the high today is only going to be 61 degrees. Wonderful! I just had a lightbulb moment and thought I'd share it with all of you today.
I was just sharing with someone on the Anxiety board that it's not uncommon for me to wake up anxious even though there isn't anything to be anxious about. That being said, I chalk it up to the fact that I have nightmares almost every single night. So I figure I have had an adrenalin rush in my sleep which produces the anxiety symptoms when I wake up. I just have to force myself to power through them because when I do, I always end up feeling better in an hour or two. I'll be at work and suddenly realize that I'm feeling fine again. I have often wondered why I still enjoy going to bed and getting sleep at night. I just realized that I think it's all about acceptance. I know I will probably have a nightmare and that it's not real. So I don't go to bed dreading the nightmare. How great would it be if that is if I get to a place where I see anxiety in the same way. Maybe having the lightbulb moment is the first step....
I hope you all have a great weekend! Sunny and 78 tomorrow and I'm meeting my BFF for coffee and a shopping expedition. Life is good! Linda
