life's destination?
not sure what to write about.
i think i am having to examine the life i have created here again.
with a different kind of scope, this place has helped me stabilize
my life to a certain and major degree.
but I am also finding myself coming to grips with the overarching reality of it.
I am comfortable but perhaps just a bit discontented. Is the discontent
misdirected for the reality that exists for me?
For how crazy my feelings can be, and the need for community and safety
I am starting to question - is this place really 'my it' for me - my life's
work - my life's destination - do I have to stop thinking in terms of being
open for more adventure and accept the trade offs of stability and discontent?
It's a wild conundrum and I know I am very very lucky to be here.

Are you able to get out every week or so Marky to go out to lunch or for a nice car ride?
I'm just wondering if you have something just for 'you' would help you to feel more settled in your communal living?
Yes I do Jan, I guess I’m still getting used to it. It all feels almost illegitimate to have this life. It’s so calm
and good for me.
I'm glad you have adapted so well to your home there. Do you feel like it is home? Hope you are well Mark.
"examine the life i have created here again, with a different kind of scope"
is that another way to say, "question?" of course you have to. question is what questioners do. now to quit taking your favorite hobby so seriously.
life is a journey, not a destination. enjoy the ride. it's okay to like some parts of the ride better than others. it's also okay to question every bit of it, like, dislike or a twixt in the tween.
for what it's worth
i think the monastic life looks good on your virtual image.
does "virtual" still mean, "almost?"
The soul is always yearning for happiness and a tranquil, peaceful existence but that's not always possible, So we come as close as we can and we do the best we can.....
