Life is too short to settle at this time in our lives.
I know there will never be anyone like my Smokey but I am still opening to finding someone else.  Dave is not for me and it is a matter of time when I break up with him.  He takes the emptiness and loneliness out of my life as does my older brother Don and my grandson Tyson.  Dave is kind and generous which is he strength.  He is an alcoholic which is the reason for me to break up with him.  I had a great weekend at my friend Sharon's place with her husband and daughter and board.  I came back to Dave and realized with a bolt of lightning in my gut that he is not even close to what I want in my life for me.  Wow!  It was an eye opener.
Take care everyone as it is only one day at a time and things get calmer & calmer for us in our hearts.  Maybe one day for each of us our hearts will be accepting of our situation and we will be at peace inside our very souls.

For me I want what I want or nothing at all. If I marry again he has to be Mr Right. I know that many settle for Mr Rightnow, but that\'s not for me. Instead, I\'m opening up my social circle. I joined a health club and found a church. I joined a social group too. I\'m very busy most of the time. Never bored. I\'m feeling years younger in fact.

It\'s possible with all the socializing that I\'m doing, that I\'ll meet someone. It would be nice. If now, I\'ll keep going ahead by myself. I got the idea from my great-aunt. She was widowed in her early 60s. She joined a club and traveled all over the world. She used to send us a calendar with her itienary on it. She was always on the go, doing volunteer work well into her 90s. She never remarried, but had a full life. I remember thinking that\'s what I would do if I was ever widowed or single in my senior years. Until recently, I\'d forgotten all about that. We lost track of her and that side of the family a few years back. An internet search revealed she\'d passed five years ago, aged 96. It was then that I remembered how much I admired the life she\'d created for herself. So, now I\'m following in her footsteps.

Diane, find the person you want in your life. For all you know he could be standing right in front of you, but isn\'t saying anything because he thinks you\'re involved with Dave.
