life is so strange some days
I know I'm always processing things here each day...
I guess that's what we all do....
I took a semester's elective when in college at a Zen Buddhist Shrine
where I was taught meditation...
the leader touched on his own anxiety of life that 'we are always becoming'
and he seemed really weary from that...
at the time I felt for him, and yet also didn't reconcile that to my own experience..
anyways, that engine within is working away at me right now - and I guess I am just taking on new vantages
in my life - so there's enlightenment for sure today.. learning and/or experiencing growth!
I won't have therapy until Friday afterwork - but already I feel I have tons to talk
about....so grateful for the outlet to process life in therapy and here ...
and also the chance to make a reasonability of it.
peace

Yes, we breathe, we evolve.
This past Christmas when I was 'doing candles in windows' I bought two candles....one says 'be the energy you want to attract', the other says 'breathe in positivity and exhale negativity'. Just two of my breathing meditations. I need to do them more often!
Thank you for your response to my journal yesterday if you didn't see my return responses before I put it in private....going to keep in private along with something someone else wrote to do more journaling on. Take good care!
thanks Mary Louise!!! Yes I saw your response!!!!
So glad!!! Sorry for not replying!! have a great day!!
yup, the daily processing is what i come here for. . . whether i ever make sense of life or not, the processing will no be denied.
in college, i still thought i'd achieved the ultimate way to be. no more becoming for me. . .
a few too many slices of humble pie later, when i was the right age to be the profie, i was pretty tired, too.
here on the geezer train, i don't fight the process of becoming quite so hard. just process. . . ^it^ is what ^it^ is, whether i understand ^it^ or not. let the mystery be and just process. . .
Thanks Arfie! Your wisdom is right on!
It’s a good pause in the day to
practice reflection. Not enough people I think feel it’s importance. I started my Substack writing project which has been an extension of the writing class I took last summer…. and that’s been so helpful on a different level. Writing is such a helpful expression and there’s something so cathartic about choosing words this way.
On the flip side of the coin, it’s good to transfer that same extension of oneself in real world time. The whole go out there and seize the day. We all have caution and life teaches us reservations through stages of hurt that sits within us…. but it’s important to keep looking forward and go for things that bring contentment. Safely and healthily. Hugs.
